Private Alexander Lynn

Alexander Lynn was born on 4 June 1900 at Galgorm Parks, Ballymena, County Antrim, the second of four children of dye and bleach works stoker Thomas Lynn and his wife Annabella (née Stockman). At the time of the 1911 Census he was living at Galgorm Parks with his parents and siblings. Around 1916 the family moved to Raceview, Broughshane.

Lynn enlisted in the North Irish Horse in late April or early May 1918 (regimental number unknown). He would have trained at the regiment's reserve camp at Antrim before being demobilised in 1919.
